New Exhibition: The Power Station, Cwmbran featuring - Valerie Stewart, Gil Clayton, and Joanne Barber.



The latest exhibition taking place at The Power Station, Cwmbran features work from three Artists, all of which favour different mediums. Valerie Stewart is an accomplished artist and art tutor, her use of vivid colours and patterns is striking. Gil Clayton is a mixed media and acrylic painter, her subtle, soft impressionistic style has an elegant air about her work. Joanne Barber is a pastel artist; her bold choice of colour brings a lot of warmth to her images.

New Exhibition at The Power Station, Cwmbran. Featuring: Graham Allen and Christine Duggan.

The latest exhibition at The Power Station Cwmbran is displaying the work of two of the longest serving members of Torfaen Art factory, Graham Allen and Christine Duggan. Graham is an acrylic artist who specializes mainly in wildlife. His wonderful blending creates a soft, almost pastel look to his paintings. Combining this method with the use of bold colours, Graham's style is very distinctive. Christine is photographer and digital artist. She enjoys taking images of local scenes in and around Torfaen and the South Wales area. Her style varies dramatically from sculptural scenes of St Brides to digitally manipulated images of Cwmbran Woodlands, replicating a soft charcoal drawing.

Previous Exhibition at The Power Station, Cwmbran. Featuring: Ray Rosser and Caroline Tremeer.

 This previous exhibition at The Power Station, Cwmbran was featuring the work of Torfaen Art factory's Chairman Ray Rosser and member Caroline Tremeer. Ray is an acrylic painter, his work is energetic with lots of texture added to his images, also his bold use of colour makes his pictures stand out to the viewer. Caroline is also an acrylic painter. Her seascapes are rustic and captures the movement of the ocean beautifully. She also has a great use of pastel shading within her work, giving her images a soft look.

New Exhibition at The Power Station, Cwmbran. Featuring: Sandra Davies and Elaine Peece

The new Exhibition at The Power Station in Upper Cwmbran (running for six weeks) features the work of Sandra Davies and Elaine Preece from Torfaen Art Factory. Sandra is mainly a graphite artist, her work consists mainly of delicate drawings of animals and portraits, in this exhibition you will also she some of her acrylic paintings of woodland areas. Elaine is a painter and multimedia artists, her bold images of flowers are striking, in this exhibition Elaine is also showing some of her charcoal drawing of famous people.

New Exhibition - The Power Station, Cwmbran - Featuring: Rachel Ellis and MIke Emmett

This exhibition at The Power Station in Upper Cwmbran will be running for six weeks showcasing the work of two of our newest members to the Torfaen Art Factory; Rachel Ellis and Mike Emmett. These artists have contrasting styles and mediums - Rachel is a sculpture/surrealist artist and mainly uses polymer clay in her creations, Mike is a photographer who has a strong interest in sports photography along with some social documentary images.
